Job description

The Opportunity

MedMe is the software layer that pharmacies across North America run their clinical services on. Nova is the pod that builds and owns the platform everything else sits on: our AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, and the security controls that let us operate credibly in a HIPAA and PHIPA world. When Nova does its job well, every other pod ships faster and sleeps better.

Right now we know exactly what needs to happen and we don't have the hands to do it. HIPAA audit logging, real observability, and a serious cleanup of our platform tech debt (multiple CDK configurations scattered across repos, no consolidated view of our infra, no configurable deployment pipeline) are all scoped and waiting. At the same time, Nova is the team every other pod turns to for infrastructure support, so platform work competes daily with requests we can't reasonably say no to. Adding senior capacity is how we stop that tradeoff.

Our core platform team is in Indonesia, and hiring in EST gives us close to round-the-clock coverage plus a third experienced voice in the room when we're making architectural calls. You'd be joining a small, high-trust team with a clear backlog of work that matters, and a lot of room to shape how it gets done.

About MedMe Health

At MedMe, we are passionate about empowering pharmacists to provide services beyond just prescribing. Our mission is to build an all-in-one cloud-based platform that enables pharmacists to schedule, document, and manage clinical services at scale. With over 4,500 pharmacies using our software, we've facilitated more than 25 million patient services, transforming pharmacies into community health hubs across North America.

What You'll Do

We're hiring a senior platform engineer (infrastructure and observability) for Nova.

  • Take ownership of at least one major platform initiative end to end, most likely HIPAA audit logging, observability, or infra consolidation, depending on where the team lands when you join

  • Get deep enough in our AWS and CDK setup to make confident changes, and start untangling the per-repo configuration sprawl

  • Become a default person other pods come to with infrastructure questions, so requests spread across the team instead of concentrating

  • Own the deployment pipeline story, moving us from bespoke per-repo setups to something configurable and boring

  • Drive our security and compliance posture on the infrastructure side, in partnership with our Enabling Engineer for Security and Compliance

  • Help set the technical direction for the platform as our footprint grows across regions and cloud providers

About You

  • Real seniority — you've operated production infrastructure at scale, you've been on call for it, and you've made the mistakes already

  • Strong Terraform experience — this is non-negotiable for us

  • Hands-on AWS CDK experience, ideally in TypeScript

  • A working base in EST or close to it, so you overlap with both our Canadian team and our platform engineers in Indonesia

  • A bias toward accuracy over speed — we'd rather get infrastructure right the first time than move fast and page someone at 2am

  • Bonus: GCP or Azure experience alongside AWS, since our footprint and customer requirements are diversifying

  • Bonus: experience in a regulated or healthcare environment (HIPAA, PHIPA, SOC 2), or genuine interest in learning that side

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • 30 days: You're deep enough in our AWS and CDK setup to make confident changes, and you've started untangling the per-repo configuration sprawl.

  • 60 days: You've taken ownership of at least one major platform initiative end to end — most likely HIPAA audit logging, observability, or infra consolidation.

  • 90 days: You're a default person other pods come to with infrastructure questions, so requests are spreading across the team instead of concentrating on Nova.

  • Long-term: You own the deployment pipeline story end to end, drive our security and compliance posture on the infrastructure side alongside our Enabling Engineer for Security and Compliance, and help set technical direction for the platform as our footprint grows across regions and cloud providers.
